How to Use

Vaporisation converts the powder into a fine vapour that settles on every bee and comb surface, reaching mites liquid treatments cannot. Load 2.3g per hive, seal all entrances and vents, vaporise for about 3 minutes, then keep sealed for 15 minutes. Wear chemical resistant gloves, safety goggles, and a respirator, as the vapour damages lungs and eyes.

It can also be mixed with 1:1 sugar syrup for the dribble method, 5ml per seam of bees, maximum 50ml per hive, for those without a vaporiser.

Best Time to Treat

Treat when colonies have little to no capped brood, since it cannot reach mites inside capped cells. Best windows are late autumn or early winter, early spring, or after a brood break (queen caged around 21 days). Monitor mite levels and treat only above your IPM threshold.

Rotate With Other Treatments

Rotate between chemical classes to prevent resistance: oxalic acid, amitraz (Apivar or Apitraz), synthetic pyrethroids (Bayvarol or Apistan), and formic acid (Formic Pro where available). No honey withholding period applies, so supers can stay in place during treatment.
