Move multiple hives without cooking or losing your bees

Anyone who has moved hives knows the two things that go wrong. Bees escape through gaps you did not know the box had, and they find you at exactly the wrong moment, usually while you are driving. Or you seal everything up tight and the colony overheats before you arrive, because a closed box full of agitated bees generates serious heat with nowhere for it to go. The reason mesh matters is heat. A colony being transported is stressed, and stressed bees fan hard and run hot. Shut them in a fully sealed box on a warm day and you risk melted comb and dead bees. The mesh holds every bee inside, including the ones that squeeze out of entrance closures, lid gaps and worn corners, while airflow through the cover keeps the colony cool enough to travel. You arrive with the bees you left with, and none of them loose in the ute cab.

Fits hives and nucs, ties in seconds

Each cover is cut from durable mesh sized to fit standard hive boxes and nucs. The long string wraps around the body and ties off, so fitting a cover takes seconds per hive, even at 4am when you are loading in the dark before the bees start flying. No frames to modify, no screens to screw on, nothing left behind on the hive afterwards. When the move is done, the covers fold flat and store in almost no space until the next one.
